The Government has now launched the public side of the Gender Pay Gap Portal (the “Portal”) on 18 June 2026. This allows users to view, compare and analyse employers’ data on gender pay gaps and filter by year, sector and company size. Reports that had been submitted on a voluntary basis since 18 November 2025 are now publicly accessible through the Portal.

Since last year, all employers with more than 50 employees have been required to publish their gender pay gap reports on their own websites.  The Employment Equality Act 1998 will now be amended to introduce a further obligation on in-scope employers to submit their reports to the Portal.

This means that for the 2026 reporting cycle onwards, use of the Portal will become mandatory, requiring all employers with more than 50 employees to submit their reports directly to the Portal.

Employers in scope of the legislation must also continue to publish their reports on their own website, or otherwise make them accessible to the public where they do not have a website.

More information in relation to the Gender Pay Gap Portal is available to view here.
