As October comes to a close, we’re looking back at Mental Health Month at Flynn O’Driscoll.

Throughout the month, we put a spotlight on prioritising mental health and wellbeing within the workplace and outside of work too.

  • We gathered with colleagues for healthy treats on World Mental Health Day, encouraging people to take a moment for themselves, chat with colleagues or get some fresh air.
  • We were also delighted to have guest speaker Jo Donohoe, National Programmes Manager with Mental Health Ireland to present to the firm. Jo has over 20 years in Community Development, Youth Work and Mental Health Promotion. Jo introduced the “5 Ways to Wellbeing” and explained the definition of mental health and wellbeing from a holistic perspective to help identify how it plays a part in our overall health.
  • We organised a guided Pilates class taking place in Fade Street Studios for staff to unwind.
  • We joined RunClub Social at The Storyteller for a 5K run. Everyone was welcome, especially first-timers!

We would like to thank the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for organising these events and ensuring that our culture supports mental health and wellbeing all year round. We encourage all colleagues to take time to prioritise their own wellbeing and continue to support one another.
