On the 19th of July, Team FOD took part in this year’s Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim 2025. The team followed a 13km route from Aughinish in Co. Clare to Blackrock in Salthill, all in aid of Cancer Care West.

Congratulations to James Duggan, Callum Ashton and Michael Hanley who were the 1st skins relay team home and the 3rd relay team overall.

157 swimmers crossed Galway Bay – a new record! (47 solo swimmers, 31 relay teams – 110 relay team swimmers).

Well done to all who took part for such an amazing cause and thanks to the organisers of this fantastic event.
